1964 STUDEBAKER DAYTONA COUPE PROJECT CAR
NOTE: WINNING BIDDER MUST MAKE PAYMENT IN FULL BY 1/18/2015 IN CASH.
Bought this as a project last year but have lost interest and decided on another project.
Car RUNS and Brakes work, HOWEVER is not drivable as it is.
PROS:
This is one of just over 1,700 of these cars made. It is rare. It is all stock. Full frame car. These look very nice with a set of Cragars or Rocket wheels on them. A nice 60s Hot Rod look.
CLEAR PA TITLE IN MY NAME
259 CID 2 BBL V8 with 3 Speed Manual Trans on the tree(column) with factory overdrive.
Engine RUNS, NO smoke, NO knocks, NO Noises.
There is no exhaust system on the car.
Clutch is bad and slips very badly, will need a new clutch to be driven.
Rear Quarters are very solid, Doors Solid. Frame solid. Frame has some pitting in the rear but I do not see any holes. Frame Should be cleaned up and painted with rust proof paint.
Sale includes OEM NOS Left front Fender and aftermarket new Left and Right Rocker Panels.
Front Inner Fenders UNBOLT from Main Body which will ease in restoration.
WINDSHIELD IS BROKEN BUT A GOOD USED OEM One is INCLUDED with the car.
ALMOST Every body and trim piece needed for this car is readily available as NOS or correct reproduction.
I have OTHER NOS or OEM parts to restore this car that are available to the buyer at a good price. Cheaper than buying new from a supplier
CONS:
Needs BODYWORK Trunk floor, Left(Drivers) Front Fender(New OEM Included), Outer Rocker panels(NEW Included) on both sides and minor floor work near the rockers.
Needs Body work at top of both rear Quarter Panels where they meet the roof(rust holes)
Needs Left Front Inner Fender repaired under the battery(This panel is available NEW aftermarket for approx. $80)
Paint is severely faded and has surface rust on parts of most of the body but other than what is noted above is just light surface rust.
Car should be restored and deserves to be due to the rarity of it. It is the last of the REAL Studebakers with Studebaker V8 in it.
Must Sell, Have other interests and need money to fund that project.
