Desert dry Lark Regal wagon. New restoration. Looks much like it did on showroom floor in 1962. 6 cylinder (cracked head) was replaced by '63 289 w/OD (70K miles). Plugs pulled and block cleaned fully and new plugs installed. New complete 10.5 clutch parts. All suspension, front springs, shocks, bushings and center bearings new. Brakes and NOS exhaust all new incl. rubber and steel lines, shoes & M/C & pipe hangers. Rebuilt generator and new regulator. T86 Overdrive transmission with open 3.31 R/A and new cover/gasket. Easy 20+ mpg on highway and cruises @ 75-80 all day cool. The dash originally came with factory auxillary gauges for oil pressure and ampere readings. They came white faced from the factory. The upper trim level cars (wagon-P6) came with black faced gauges. I found very nice white gauges and installed them, but will include the original ones for any future usage. All guages, clock, radio (NOS antenna), work perfectly, except cigar lighter (fuse). 4 new tires and nice wheel covers. Interior is NOS stock and all paint inside and out was professionally, computer matched to factory beautiful. All windows (hold rear side windows) and door openings have new NOS/NORS rubber, channels and/or guides. All glass (w/s tint) excellent. Window regulators excellent. New professional headliner and padded visors. Ermine White Dupont BC/CC and all mldgs./bumpers replaced NOS or excellent used. Interior is all NOS Saddle Tan w/ white vinyl inserts professionally installed. Car is ready for X-country drive or boxed up for your collection. I have many pictures and will forward specifics to interested parties. This is the best Stude I've done in years save my '64 Convertible. Ask and bid with confidence. A few items that are less than perfect about this car: there was some crumpling of the lower valence during transport. The body shop did what they could to straighten it, but there is still some deformation. Hardly seen under the front bumper. The headliner was installed with the windshield in place. From experience with other Studes, it is easy to crack a curved windshield, and new ones are very hard to find. The window seals tend to leak from aftermarket (offshore) fitment. The headliner material was carefully cut along the upper seal and professionally glued to the header panel. Mostly unseen by visors/mirror. At the time of painting there was no source of rear, side window seals. Now Studebaker International lists them in their new catalog. I have many more pictures and can take specific ones for an interested party. I have a reasonable starting price and a fair Buy it Now/Reserve. Ask and bid with confidence. Car is for sale locally and may cancel this ad. $1000. non-refundable deposit required by wire transfer or cleared bank check. Balance due in 7 days.
